Social Contribution Activity
MIKASA’s Social Contribution Activities
We are actively engaged in social and community contribution activities as well as global environmental conservation efforts.
Collaboration with Non-Profit Orginizations(NPOs)
We support the non-profit organization “Let’s increase the Red Dragonflies in Tatsuno” and participate in activities that promote environmental conservation and address local challenges.
“Let’s increase the Red Dragonflies in Tatsuno” is dedicated to reviving the original landscape described in the children’s song “Akatombo” composed by Rofu Miki, a famous Japanese poet who is associated with Tatsuno City in Hyogo Prefecture.
The orginization aims to establish agricultural methods that support the growth of the Red Dragonflies called “Akiakane” and enchance the profitability of local farmers. By implementing environmental conservation measures that support an increase in Red Dragonflies within rice fields, their activities aim to uplift the spirits of Tasuno citizens, promote tourism, and providing young students with the experience of nurturing the importance of the environment for Red Dragonflies.
Sponsorship for Kyoto’s “Jidai Matsuri
After 27 years, the Kujo Hirodori district, where our old Kyoto office is located, had their turn to hold the historical event called “Jidai Matsuri” in Kyoto. In addition to supporting the event financially, our employees also participated in the festival, working in unity with local residents to celebrate Kyoto’s traditional culture.
Supporting the “Osaka Prefectural Women’s Fund”
Mikasa actively promotes women’s involvement in our operations. We are committed to increasing opportunities for a larger number of women to play essential roles.
To realize this, we have implemented measures such as shorter working hours for child care, work-from-home options, child care leave, and promotion of women to comprehensive roles.
As part of our commitment, we support the “Osaka Prefectural Women’s Fund”, operated by Osaka Prefecture. We hope our efforts contribute not only to the progress of our company but also to the broader promotion of women’s active participation throughout society. |
